Who we are

Section 125 Advisory Group is an independent Section 125 advisory practice operated by Nick Gavin in Cincinnati, Ohio, serving employers in all 50 states. When this policy says we or us, it means that practice.

Questions about anything here go to nick.gavin@simerpadvisors.org or (513) 601-8963.

What we collect

Information you give us

The savings projection form on this site asks for your name, company, work email, phone number, full-time W-2 employee count, payroll provider, and an optional message. All of it is voluntary. If you email or call instead, we keep whatever you choose to tell us.

We do not ask for and do not want employee-level data. No Social Security numbers, no names of your employees, no health information. A savings projection is modeled from headcount, hours, and existing pre-tax deductions.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect or store personal data or track visitors across sites. It records aggregate figures such as page views, referring site, country, browser, and device type.
  • Company-level visitor identification. We use Apollo.io's website visitor tool, which attempts to identify the organization a visit came from by looking up the network address. It tells us that someone at a given company visited. It does not tell us who you are as an individual.
  • Server logs. Our host, Netlify, records standard request data including network address and timestamp as part of delivering and securing the site.
  • Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request, including your network address, when a page loads.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers.

Why we use it

  • To prepare and send the savings projection you asked for.
  • To reply to your question and follow up about it.
  • To understand which pages are useful and how people find the site.
  • To keep the site working and free of spam submissions.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.

We share it only with the service providers that make the practice run, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Netlify hosts this site and stores submissions from the projection form.
  • Google Workspace handles our email and files.
  • Apollo.io is the system we use to manage contacts and outreach, and it powers the company-level visitor identification described above.
  • Plausible provides aggregate, cookieless analytics.

If you decide to move forward with a plan, we pass the information needed for enrollment to the plan administrator. We will tell you before that happens, and it does not happen from a projection request alone.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Projection requests and related correspondence are retained for up to three years from your last contact with us, then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained by Plausible for a rolling window and contain no personal data.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email nick.gavin@simerpadvisors.org and we will respond within 30 days. There is no cost and no consequence for asking.

If you are receiving email from us and would rather not, every message carries an unsubscribe link, or you can simply reply and say so. We honor it either way.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have specific rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out. Use the same email address and we will handle your request under the law that applies to you.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted and are stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, which is part of why we ask you not to send sensitive employee data.

Children

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
